To all Friends and Supporters of the OKC MLK Alliance,
Celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. still continues! The Oklahoma City Community is still coming together to end the injustice of racism and follow the dream of the great civil rights leader. The Oklahoma City Martin Luther King, Jr. Alliance, Inc. continues to bring unity in the community in remembrance of the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with our 42nd Annual Tree of Life Celebration.
Five years after Dr. King's birthday was named a national holiday, the OKC MLK Alliance organized the first events for the annual King parade and planted a Tree of Life at the Oklahoma State Capitol in 1984. The Tree of Life represents our communities'. The power to change, transform, and reform our circumstances, is from all of us.
On Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. we invite you, employees of your company, members of your congregation, and the community, to join us at the Tree of Life Celebration at the Oklahoma Historical Center at 800 Nazih Zuhdi Dr., Oklahoma City, OK 73105.
Winners of this year's Essay & Poster contest will be announced and presented awards as we celebrate Dr. King's Legacy.
Join us as we commit to finishing the work on ending racism, reclaiming, and rebuilding, our beloved community.
